The 1949 Met Open champion passed away on January 19 at the age of 100.

The USGA has announced that the U.S. Adaptive Open Championship will adopt a qualifying model for 2024, with the MGA serving as one of six Allied Golf Associations (AGAs) conducting a qualifier.

David Haden and Ashley Holguin spent the summer working as P.J. Boatwright interns at the MGA. For both, their introductions to the golf industry happened during their high school years, when both participated in the MGA Foundation’s GOLFWORKS student intern program.

The MGA offices will re-open on Tuesday, January 2.

Beginning in 2024, courses as short as 750 yards (9-holes) and 1,500 yards (18-holes) will be eligible for a Course Rating™ and Slope Rating™.

Beginning in 2024, net par will be replaced with the use of expected score for holes not played.
